LOA for moorage purpose is 43.5 feet.
Built by the Finnish company Baltic Yachts LTD. Designed by the C&C Yacht Group and built from 1976 to 1980. 21 were built from 1976 thru 1980 and the hull is the same as the C&C 42. Fin keel with spade rudder. The Baltic used lead for keel weight at a time when steel was cheaper and becoming popular. The eight foot draft tends to limit access to some areas but as a race design it lends itself to being a fast boat.
Solid GRP construction, teak decks and a robust toe rail with mooring cleats built into the toe rail.
Boat last hauled and bottom painted 2021.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Nombre total de couchages 6
Nombre de lits simples 6
Cabines 2
Lavabo 1
Douche 2
Toilettes 1 Toilettes (Manuels)

The Baltic 42 has a low rise cabin top which improves forward visibility from the cockpit and eases movement around the boat's exterior. It does also result in smallish windows, and limits the interior headroom to 6'2".

The finish work inside is quite beautiful and the interior is roomy. From the cockpit you step down a ladder-like companionway into a very warm and comfortable interior. The galley is to your starboard with an entry door into the owner cabin with en suite head and shower. Berths in this room are like two quarter berths so unless you like snuggling you're sleeping alone. Seating and storage areas are nicely laid out. The head on port is accessible from either the aft owner cabin or from the saloon.

The saloon seating are settees linear arranged down each side of the table. They are original leather in very nice condition and they make the interior look warm and rich. The mast is keel-stepped and painted black so it adds a rich look to the interior.

Forward is the second cabin which is arranged as crew berths -- one on each side. Forward in the fo'c'sle is an open anchor locker with sail storage and lines. The anchor is in storage so this is also where the chain and rode would be stored.

Forward of the saloon the boat looks very much like a race boat interior. There are six legitimate sleeping berths but other areas that could be used for crew berths which could increase sleeping to 8.

On the port side is comfortable nav station just forward of the head. Cabin heat is supplied by an Arctic diesel furnace.

Commentaires du Broker

The Baltic 42 was designed as a "No Compromise" Ocean racing sloop by C & C Yacht Group built in Finland.

This boat has been owned by her current owner for 25 years and has seen limited use in recent years. Attention has been paid to maintenance and needed updates such as navigation electronics, and even the sails were replaced in 2020. There is a lot to work with here for an attentive new owner. It's a charming looking boat with warm and attractive interior. The hull is painted and could use some paint repair in a few places. The teak decks appear to be in serviceable condition with some caulk needed here and there. The teak boards do not appear to be cupping and the bungs look tight.

The rigging appears in very good condition with the black painted mast and standing rigging all replaced about 20 years ago. The keel bolts look robustly large and in clean condition.

There are also sails for racing stored which come with the boat.
