Stepping aboard the swim step, there are molded stairs for easy access to the large aft deck.
Entering the salon via the companionway and curved stairway, you notice several aspects of this boat: the maintenance and care, how efficiently Cruisers has planned this boat and the ample headroom throughout the boat. To port are two wicker chairs with three nesting tables. The entertainment center/TV is forward to port. The starboard side of the salon has two recliner chairs, also with an end table. The cabin is warmed and cooled by MarinAire reverse cycle heating and air conditioning. The lower helm and electric panel are located forward of the recliners. Side and front windows provide natural light and visibility.
The u-shaped galley is down three stairs to starboard. There is storage above and below the stainless-steel sink. The two-burner electric stove is left of the sink with plenty of counter space. A microwave is below the stove top, a trash compactor and washer/dryer combo are below the counter top facing aft. The Norcold AC/DC double door fridge/freezer is located next to the day head. While the boat is not being used, a large dehumidifier is plumbed into the bilge to keep the boat nice and dry.
Across from the galley is the guest/day head. The shared head has a separate shower, electric toilet (raw water flush) and sink, with storage above and below.
At the foyer there is plenty of standing headroom. The guest stateroom is forward with an offset queen berth. There is plenty of space to sit comfortably at the edge of the berth; a hanging locker and storage make this an enjoyable space for guests or family.
The owners' cabin is in the stern with a large berth positioned athwartship, which may accommodate individuals about 6 feet tall or more. There are hanging lockers and storage cabinets as well as drawers under the bed. At the end of the bed, to starboard is the ensuite head with a tub/shower, sink and an electric freshwater flush toilet.
There is a tremendous amount of interior light and headroom throughout the boat which gives the boat a very open and expansive feel.
The engine compartment is accessed via a hatch in the saloon sole; the engine compartment is simple and straightforward -- a practical setup facilitating easy maintenance.
The fully enclosed flybridge is accessed via steps from the aft deck. A U-shaped settee with table and helm seat provides comfort for guests. At the helm, you have full control of the vessel while underway or docking. The flybridge enclosure provides great visibility and protection from the weather. The windows may be removed for ventilation; the remaining canvas bimini will provide protection from the sun.

Broker's Comments
The Cruisers 3850 was built from 1991 to 1994 and is a well-proportioned flybridge yacht whose spacious interior and sporty appearance made her a popular model for Cruisers Yachts.
Cruiser's engineers packed some big boat accommodations into the 3850 including two comfortable staterooms with double berths, a tub/ shower in the aft head compartment. She has a large U-shaped galley with plenty of counter and storage space, built in combination washer /dryer, trash compactor and a built in vacuum system. Well-furnished and decorated, this is an impressive interior for a 38-foot boat.
This boat was built on a fully cored modified V hull with prop pockets and a relatively wide beam. The innovative reverse transom with its molded boarding steps is very practical on a boat with this much freeboard. There's plenty of guest seating on the bridge, and sun pads can be fitted on the foredeck. Additional features include an aft deck wet bar, wide side decks, and good cabin storage.
The 300 horsepower Cummins diesels cruise comfortably around 16 knots.
She is a two-owner boat.
