This Freedom 33 features freestanding carbon spars with wishbone type booms.
The mainsail and mizzen are efficient in that almost all their area forms an effective airfoil. The wishbone boom permits a longer luff than a conventional boom and does not interfere with the draft at the foot. Draft control is easier with a wishbone boom through either outhaul tension (the Freedom 33 mizzen) or adjustment of the effective length of the wishbone (the mainsail). (Cited by the Practical Sailor on the Freedom 33)

The vessel is laid out with the cockpit astern. The cockpit is laid out with a centerline aft helm and seating to port and starboard underneath which are spacious cockpit storage lockers. Stepping through through the companionway and down three wooden steps will place you in the galley and salon. The galley is equipped with a 3 burner gas stove and oven. The galley has storage cabinets up top and below, with a refrigerated box below the counter. The stainless steel sink is at the forward end of the galley, with cabinets below and off the starboard side.
Just to the starboard side of the galley is a navigation station with seating, chart table with storage, VHF radio, stereo and behind a quarter berth.
Moving past the galley and Navigation station you are greeted with a very spacious salon with folding table, two settees, and ample storage in cabinets above and below. The flooring is a solid wood plank with access to bilge and thru hulls.
A large curved door forward is access to the head and shower. The head has a manual head with shower, single basin sink, mirror, port light, and overhead hatch. Forward of the head lies the V-berth.
The double V-berth can convert to single berths or seating. The cabin has an overhead hatch and port lights to each side. At the forward end of the V-berth is access to the anchor locker.

I consider this one of the more unique boats with freestanding carbon fiber masts and no stays. This is said to be a very easy boat to sail due to the cat ketch rig. The deck is open and is easy to navigate and allows space for a small dingy or equipment. The interior construction of the Freedom 33 is a step above, especially for the price range. All of the cabinetry and settees are built to the round hull, which provides for more open space to move throughout the cabin, and the vessel is configured with comfortable head compartment with a large wooden curved door to provide access and ample space inside. Engine recently replaced and very low hours.
