Broker's Comments

We are pleased to be presenting this Westerly Berwick 31, launched in 1982. Based on the Westerly Longbow, the Berwick's innovative design has the benefit of good sailing characteristics, whilst also designed to be capable of motor-cruising for long periods of time. With great space on deck and below, ideal for families and cruising.

With bilge keels and a skeg hung rudder the boat can sail shoaling waters, even drying out comfortably. The Berwick is spacious inside and out, with a deep, roomy cockpit giving a safe feeling and also side and fore decks that don't feel awkward when moving around and working the boat.

Down below the accommodation is comfortable, with 6 berths, two being in the separate forward cabin, great headroom and storage throughout. The saloon and galley are roomy, perfect places for relaxing on the boat and enjoying meals afloat.

This example benefits from only two owners from new and appears to have been well maintained by this current owner, who reports her to be a “safe, comfortable cruising boat, even in plenty of wind!”

If you are looking for a spacious sailing cruiser, then this boat should be considered. If you would like more information please contact our office and we would also be pleased to organise a personal viewing.
